The second day of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship Season Launch at Brands Hatch (12 April) was full of action…and plenty of rain.
While the main focus for teams was on getting as much data as possible, there were some noteworthy off-track reveals. This includes Autobrite Direct with Millers Oils driver, Daniel Lloyd, who took the covers off his 2023 livery.
The Huddersfield-based racer switched to Team HARD for the new season, looking to build on an impressive 2022 campaign; he overcame a major accident at Oulton Park to score three race wins, as well as grab a top-ten championship finish for the first time in his BTCC career.
This year, Lloyd will be facing his competition in the brand new Cupra Leon revealed prior to the start of official pre-season testing, in a striking black, red and white livery.
"I absolutely love the way that the livery has come out and think the Cupra looks absolutely mega," Daniel said.
"The combination of red, white and black for the team sponsors works well with my own partners, and will really stand out on track.
"The team has done a great job to get the new car ready during the winter, and with the clock ticking down to race one, I can’t wait to get to Donington Park and kick off the season."
Donington Park gets underway on the 22/ 23 April.
