Despite the six-week gap, there was still plenty of activity involving the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship across the summer break.

Sunday (16 July) marked the final day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where title sponsor Kwik Fit hosted the cars and stars of the 2023 British Touring Car Championship. 

Despite weather conditions unfortunately closing the festival on Saturday (15 July), the Kwik Fit Stand hosted hundreds of fans throughout the event; whether it was trying their skills on the racing simulators provided in partnership with Motorsport Games, or coming along to watch the hourly activations including plenty of the 2023 BTCC grid, attendees had countless options to get involved in.

Over 750 sessions were completed on the sims across the three days, with fans competing to get the fastest lap on a number of BTCC racing scenarios and win a pair of tickets to the BTCC finale at Brands Hatch in October. 

Meanwhile, the Kwik Fit Stand also organised a number of activations to occur on the hour and every hour from 1000-1700 each day. BTCC stars such as Ash Sutton, Tom Ingram and Rory Butcher came along to participate in Q&As, autograph and selfie sessions, as well as sim battles and giveaways.

On top of this, BTCC teams, NAPA Racing UK and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK, took their chance to participate in the legendary Hill Climb event. Sam Osborne, Dan Cammish, Dan Rowbottom, Ash Sutton and Rory Butcher were all involved, with Sutton and Butcher going head-to-head in the Official Shootout Final on Sunday. Butcher clinched the Shootout in his Toyota Corolla, with a time of 51.64s.

Kwik Fit also highlighted its support for Project TREE, a programme which helps protect rainforest areas in Indonesia through the sustainable production of natural rubber for use in tyre manufacturing.
