This weekend (26/27 August), Aiden Moffat’s 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season will continue at Donington Park, in his latest outing with One Motorsport with Starline Racing.
Joining the One Motorsport squad at the start of the year in the Honda Civic Type Rs, Moffat and teammate Josh Cook have been on the hunt for the Independent Championship honours. It has been a successful season so far for the pair, heading into the campaigns eighth event in second and first respectively in the Independent Drivers' standings.
Donington Park provides a spectacular challenge for drivers, with its fast corners, the notorious Craner Curves and The Old Hairpin. Yet, Rounds 22, 23 and 24 will create a new experience for all of the grid, with the Melbourne Loop being used in the BTCC for the first time since 2002.
“Josh [Cook] and I are really good friends on and off the track and have had a good season so far – I am catching him up at every event!” explained Moffat. “We both have the same high professional standards, but equally have similar senses of humour and just get on well together. Mind you, if it’s a tight race and we are side by side at the front, it’s every man for himself – within reason!”
